Congresswoman-Elect Sheri Biggs To Be Sworn In On Friday, Ready To Serve On Day One

January 3, 2025

Anderson, SC – Sheri Biggs, the Republican Congresswoman-elect for South Carolina’s Third
Congressional District, will officially be sworn into office on Friday, January 3, 2025 at the U.S.
Capitol in Washington DC, becoming the first woman elected to represent the district and only the second Republican woman elected to Congress from South Carolina.

Biggs is ready to serve on day one with offices scheduled to be opened and staffed in Washington DC and in the district within her first days in office. The Washington DC office will open beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, located at 1530 Longworth House Office Building on the U.S. Capitol Complex. The district office will open beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, January 6, located at 303 West Beltline Boulevard in Anderson, South Carolina.

Additionally, Congresswoman-elect Biggs invites constituents and members of the public to attend an open house reception in her Washington DC office on January 3rd from 2:00 p.m. through 5:00 p.m.

“I am excited and humbled by the opportunity that I have to serve my neighbors and constituents of the Third District in Congress – and I’m grateful to have earned the trust of the voters in November,” Sheri Biggs said. “The current administration has left us with immense challenges ahead of us in the 119th Congress – out of control inflation, weak foreign policy, lawlessness at the Southern border, and a total deconstruction of our social fabric – but with dedicated servant leaders in Congress and President Trump back in the White House, our brightest days are ahead of us. I look forward to serving the people of South Carolina’s Third District with honor, integrity, and will not let them down.”

A complete list of office locations, hours, and contact information will be announced soon.

Sheri Biggs – a Republican from Salem, South Carolina - is a lieutenant colonel in the Air National Guard, a board-certified family nurse practitioner and a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, and an active member of her local church and other community organizations. Biggs has never held public office before.
