Congressional District, will officially be sworn into office on Friday, January 3, 2025 at the U.S.
Capitol in Washington DC, becoming the first woman elected to represent the district and only the second Republican woman elected to Congress from South Carolina.

Washington, DC – Casting her first vote in Congress today, Congresswoman Sheri Biggs (R – Oconee) supported President Donald Trump’s endorsed candidate for Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson from Louisiana.
In her released statement, Congresswoman Biggs highlighted the importance of Congress getting to work and supporting President Trump’s agenda.
